Third Ring provides an AI phone assistant that answers calls for small businesses when their staff can't get to the phone. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. It covers our website (usethirdring.com), our text messages, and the call answering service itself.
From business owners (our customers):
From callers to a business that uses Third Ring:
We do not sell personal information. We do not use call content to advertise to callers.
Business owners who sign up for Third Ring opt in to receive text messages from us, such as daily call digests, urgent call alerts, and account notifications. Message frequency varies with call volume. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at [email protected].
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Only service providers that make Third Ring work, and only what they need:
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Calls answered by the assistant are transcribed so the business can read what was said and call people back. Businesses are responsible for complying with the call recording and monitoring laws that apply to them. The assistant identifies itself as an AI assistant when asked.
We keep call transcripts and summaries while the business's account is active so owners can review their history. When an account closes, we delete its call data within 90 days, except where the law requires longer.
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted to what the service needs, and each business's data is isolated from every other business's.
Third Ring is a business service and is not directed to children under 13.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and post the new version here.
